Day 1. Almaty

Arrival in Almaty by flight xx. Transfer to hotel, check-in. Free time. Overnight at the hotel

Day 2. Almaty - Altyn-Emel

Breakfast
Drive to Altyn-Emel national Park (~ 3 hours). En-route visit Kyzylauyz petroglyphs. Picnic at nature. Drive to Bes-Shatir burial mounds, a main sight of the national park.
Overnight in a guest house or camping.

Day 3. Altyn-Emel

Breakfast.
Transfer to the Singing Dune. Walk to the top of the dune to observe the grand panorama of the surroundings. If the weather is windy and dry you can enjoy beautiful song of the dune.
P.M. Continue sightseeing in Katutau and Aktau mountains that once were the bottom of the ancient Tethys Ocean.
Overnight in a guest house or camping.

Day 4. Altyn-Emel - Charyn Canyon - Karakol

Breakfast
Drive to Charyn Canyon via Ash-tree Grove (Temerlik River). Stop at Ash-tree Grove where relict species of Sogdian Ash-tree are growing. Walk there, enjoy beautiful views. Picnic at nature. Continue driving to Charyn Canyon. A visit to "Valley of Castles".
Drive to Kazakh-Kyrgyz border Karkara. Border crossing. Continue driving to Karakol. Arrival, hotel check-in. Free time.

Day 5. Karakol - Cholpon Ata (Issyk Kul Lake)

Breakfast
Short city tour of Karakol. Start driving to Cholpon Ata (150 km ~ 2.5 hrs). Free time at Issyk Kul Lake that is the second largest alpine lake in the world. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6. Cholpon Ata (Issyk Kul Lake) - Bishkek

Breakfast
Drive to Bishkek city (270 km ~ 5.5 hours). En-route visit minaret Burana Tower (short excursion there). Arrive in Bishkek.
Transfer to the hotel, check-in. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7. Bishkek

Breakfast
Bishkek city tour. Return to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8. Bishkek departure

Breakfast
Transfer to the airport (30 km). Departure. The end of the tour.

Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, National Philharmonic, Asian Bazaar.

Altyn-Emel national park

Besshatyr burial mounds consists of 5 biggest burial mounds (diameter: 8-70 meters, height: 2-20 meters). All of them are concentrated at the territory of 2 square km.
Singing sand dune has a length of about 3 km and a height of 120 meters. It emits a low, vibrating rumble when the sand moves. It's very beautiful place and from the top of the dune you can enjoy unforgettable view of the surroundings.

Charyn Canyon

It's a natural complex that can remind you the Grand Canyon of Colorado River in North America. The height of Charyn Canyon can reach up to 150-300 meters. The total length of the valley is more than 2 km.
Thanks to nature imagination Charyn Canyon is often called a "Valley of Castles". Walking there you can feel yourself surrounded by the fancy towers.

Issyk Kul Lake

Issyk Kul Lake is a popular vacation resort in Kyrgyzstan and was a stopover on the Silk Road. From Kyrgyz language Issyk Kul is translated as "warm lake" because it doesn't freeze in winter.

Sights to visit:
Orthodox old church of wood, Dungan mosque that is built in Chinese style.
